OPT EXT PENDING期间回国返美进小黑屋

七月底回国刚回美国，拿着EXPIRED的EAD和I-797C的receipt，被送进小黑屋。
之前上网查了很多说这样都可以顺利进入美国，学校OIS的官网上也说这样可以。但是海关说你的OPT学校没有approve不给我进，最后他们联系学校确认了很多次，等了将近三个小时给了我一张I-515A，允许在美国停留30天，30天内将更新好的I20等材料寄去华盛顿，不然就只能回国。
学校的ADVISOR联系我，邮件里说
Regarding the I-515A, you should receive an email from OIS with further instructions. If you have not heard anything in one week, please contact me.
I believe the issue is because your SEVIS record shows your STEM OPT is “requested” not “pending”. This is an error is SEVIS, which I will have corrected with the receipt notice you provided.
You do not need to update your SEVP Portal, since it is currently inactive. It will become active once your STEM OPT is approved.
等学校进一步通知···所以说OPT pending期间回国还是有风险，最好提前跟学校确认下你的I20状态什么的，不知道问题大不大，看学校怎么说了。海关态度太差···还把我的过期的EAD没收了，我也不知道他们拿着有啥用，就是不给我，郁闷
