套磁Rice导师对我很感兴趣，但我至今未收到offer，可催问录取委员会offer情况吗

我申请的19Fall Rice化学的PHD, 1月初给心仪的导师发了份邮件，导师回复
"You background is extremely strong in research that is of much interest to me, and you have a proven track record of being good in the lab. Have you got an offer yet from Rice Chemistry? If not, I hope that will issue soon although I am not part of the admissions committee myself. I do not know how to interpret your English ability and that need to be assessed by the committee. But I am available to have a Skype interview if the committee needs further assessment on that. Professors will inform me of your status and we can proceed from there. I hope you come to Rice.", 他还把邮件抄送给了两位教授（不清楚是不是委员会）
可是等到现在也没有offer，之前已经在寄托和gradcafe看到有人拿到offer了，请问这种情况下我可以直接问小蜜offer情况吗（顺便转述下这位外导对我的兴趣），还是说再和导师联系下，报说还没有offer？
请问谁有和小蜜催要offer的经验呢？会大概率得到拒信吗，求各位帮忙出主意和经验或者邮件模板，谢谢
