Missing Credentials Before you will be allowed to register the Graduate Admissions Office爉ust receive additional credentials (transcripts, diplomas, etc.). You will receive an email listing the specific information needed.
You must return the International Student Financial Certification to provide us with the information necessary to issue the form I-20 or DS-2019 and to show that you will have sufficient finances to cover the minimum estimated expenses for your first year of study.
If you need a form I-20 to obtain an F-1 student visa, the correct Financial Certification form is available through your online application for admission. You should go tohttps://and login again with your PIN and password. Select Financial Certification from the menu that appears. We must have your Enrollment Form before we will review your Financial Certification. If you need a form DS-2019 to obtain a J-1 exchange visitor visa, or if you are uncertain about which visa you need, go tohttp://.
If a form I-20 or DS-2019 is issued to you by the University of Minnesota, you should immediately begin the process of applying for your F-1 or J-1 student visa. DO NOT DELAY. Please Note: If you are currently attending a US educational institution you are considered a transfer student for I-20 purposes. You must still complete the financial certification form. In addition, please see your international student adviser at your current school and ask to have your record transferred to the University of Minnesota.
