国内时间今天早上八点多收到Dr.Niu的邮件，说只能提供admission-only的录取，想要转phd的话，需要在第二年参加qualified，也只有考试的前十名中的一两个会有机会得到TA，看样子是funding不太够的学校，不过不算贵，一年总开支36000刀,下面是Dr.Niu在邮件中关于开支还有转phd的原话：
If you accept the admission-only offer, you will be responsible for paying your own expenses including tuition, student fees, room and board, books and transportation (Tuition and Fee, about $20,000 per year; Room, Board and others, about $15,000 per year). All graduate students are required to have health insurance (about $1,000 per year).
[align="left"]For possible future financial support, I would like to provide the following information to you:[/align][align="left"]
[/align]1) Generally, 10 top self-supported students will receive a one-semester tuition waiver in their second year
(you still need to pay one-hour tuition and fees for the courses you take in the semester);
2) If you plan to study for Ph.D. in the department, you may take the qualifying exam in your second year.
We may offer one or two TAs for self-supported students if their scores in the qualifying exam rank in the top 10 of all the students who take the exam.
