Ph.D. Positions in Electric Power Area Available

There are two Ph.D. positions in electric power area currently available with full scholarship in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Kentucky for 2019 Fall Semester. One position is in the area of electric machine design, and another position is in the area of power electronics and electric motor drives. Both of these two positions will be under the supervision of Prof. Dan Ionel (IEEE Fellow) and Prof. Jiangbiao He.
Applicants with a master degree or working experience in electric motor designs, power electronics, and electric motor drives will give prior consideration. For the GPA, and TOEFL/GRE score, you need to meet the following minimum requirements from the graduate school: GPA>3.0 (for both B.S. and M.S.); TOEFL>80; GRE>300.
