The School of Statistics at the University of Minnesota is impressed with your record and potential, and we are pleased to recommend to the Graduate School that you be admitted to our M.S. program beginning Fall semester 2013. Congratulations on your academic achievements, and welcome to Statistics at the University of Minnesota! The Graduate School will send you an official notification of your admission status, as it is only the Graduate School that can formally admit you.
Admission to the M.S. program does not come with guaranteed financial support. We do, sometimes, support M.S. students on a semester to semester basis with no commitment to continuing support. We will contact you immediately if one of these positions becomes available. However, you should not make your decision on the basis of this possibility.
You have until April 15, 2013 to accept admission. Please notify me of your decision via email. We would very much like to have you as a student here at Minnesota, but should you decide to decline our offer and attend some other school, we would appreciate hearing from you as soon as possible, as we will then be able to make an offer to a student on our waiting list.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about graduate study at Minnesota or the terms of this offer.
