正式决定前的探底，如何稳定军心？求指导

正式offer没发，导师写信来说希望很大，然后希望我收到offer后say "yes"。我该如何回应呢？
这个学校在我申请的榜单上排第三第四的样子，已经很好了，但最想去的那两所还没来消息。所以，我想回复把他稳住，但又不好把话说满一定去。说欠了又怕他起疑心。。。怎么办啊？给点建议吧，谢啦~
贴上邮件原件，以免我表述不清：
Today, hosting labs have to communicate their saying to the department committee (*whether we are willing to host the student or not”). The committee will meet next week and will make the final decision about what students are going to be admitted and you will be receive a letter with the outcome shortly. In your case, as I told you, it is very likely to be positive.
The only thing I want from you is your “yes” that if you receive the letter you will join the program.
