同时申请了 DEPARTMENT OF Statistics 里的PhD和MS。
因为有一所学校的decision deadline快要到了，所以抱着必死的心态给小米发了一封邮件问结果。没想到~~嘿嘿

附上回信中的部分内容：

We regret we cannot recommend your admission to our PhD program. We have had a large number of highly qualified applications this year and only limited space in our program.

However, we are able to recommend your admission for our Masters program in Statistics. Please note that should you decide to accept and enter our Masters program, there are no promises or guarantees that you can then ask and/or be admitted to the PhD program.
