The research lab led by Tianyi Chen is looking for self-motivated postdocs, Ph.D. students and visitors with interests in the general areas of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and networking. Our research interests include both the fundamental theory of optimization, online learning, reinforcement learning and networking, and their applications to edge computing, smart grids, wireless networks, and Internet-of-Things. Students with strong mathematical backgrounds (e.g., statistics, signal processing, control, information theory and optimization) are preferred, but research experiences on these areas are not required.
Financial support will be provided for strong candidates. For potential Ph.D. students, the earliest admission cycle is Spring 2020. If you are interested, please contact Prof. Tianyi Chen (1point3acres.com) with your CV and related publications.
