推荐信教授如此回复是否很悬？

我向一位教过我高级统计课（applied regression; R langauge）的拿了A的教授要推荐信。他回信如下：
I am happy to write a letter for you. However, I want to be honest to you that it will not be a super strong letter. Therefore, feel free to consider other options who might be able to provide you a stronger letter.

If you want to me write the letter, please send me [...]

不知道大家对这个回复有什么看法？

老实说，我个人没有跟哪位教授混得很熟，所以没有强推我是没所谓的（或者说意料之中），但我想避免可能说我坏话的推荐信，所以po上来请教下大家的意见。

FYI. 我除了一次请求他延后了一次作业的ddl外，应该没什么事情让他留下坏影响。可能是因为我除了上了一门课外，没有跟他深度互动过，所以他这样回复吧。
