Your file has been carefully reviewed by the graduate admissions committee and unfortunately, the committee has decided not to recommend you admission for our PhD program. It was a highly competitive and numerous pool of applicants which limited our ability to accept all qualified applicants. [align="left"] [/align][align="left"]The good news is we are still reviewing applications for our Applied Master’s Degree Program and would like to consider your application for this incoming Autumn 2013 cohort. This professional degree program is designed for students seeking to earn their Master of Science (MS) in Materials Science and Engineering. This is a fast track program that is designed to be completed in one year. Instead of a thesis requirement, a final written and oral final report is required. This program is self-sustaining / not supported by state funds and does not offer assistantships and stipends. There is also the option of applying to the Master of Science (MS) thesis track program. Thesis or dissertation research opportunities are available for leading-edge, interdisciplinary work. Research and teaching assistantships and stipends are often available for students who are accepted into this program.
