Front end engineer Key Qualifications
● Experience with developing, testing and maintaining web/app with large scale data and traffic.
● Strong knowledge of ;HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript and Node.
● Experience with framework (e.g. React, Vue, Angular).
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
● Expertise with cloud services, such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure.
● Experience in building highly available production services, including deployment
automation, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and scaling.
● Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
Backend engineer
Key Qualifications
● Worked with large scale web traffic and data with strong foundation in Data
Structures, Algorithms, Linear Algebra.
● Advanced experience in Java, Python, C++ and/or other major programming
languages
● Experience in building search systems such as Elastic, SORL, Lucene , Algolia
● Building large-scale data pipelines
● Expertise with cloud services, such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure.
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
● Experience in machine learning/computer vision/natural language processing
applications

Michaels is building a brand new technology team for online retail. We are hiring SDEs and Manager/Director in all different domains to build a new shopping website to serve more than million of customers. You will have opportunities to learn how to build large system with high scalability and availability. We are hiring Frontend/Backend/Machine Learning/UI/UX/IOS/Android engineers. You would have lots of opportunities to explore new technologies and state of art machine learning algorithms to build software application from scratch in Michaels. We currently have more than 200 opennings in all different levels. We are also sponsoring H1B and Green Card.
Catalog Team:
This will be the central team to manage all product information in Michaels. The catalog team will provide data service to other tech teams in Michaels, including Search, Recommendation, Advertisement, etc. You will have opportunity to learn and build relational database, knowledge graph, etc with more than millions of products. You will also have opportunity to learn and build real time catalog system from scratch.
Search Team:
You will build the core search service on both website and mobile application with state of art technologies including deep learning. Search always generate the most revenue in online retail, the impact is extremely large in the whole company.
Recommendation Team:
This team will be managing all content on Michaels, where you can build personalized recommendation system with more than millions of products and customers. Half of content on Website/App will be managed by this team. In this team, you can learn and build real time recommendation system with deep learning and deep reinforcement learning.
