(1) Databases: database kernels, query processing and optimization, index, storage engine, transactions;
(2) Systems: cloud systems, distributed systems, big data systems (SQL and NoSQL), storage/file systems, operating/networking systems, secure systems;
(3) Modern hardware: RDMA, Smart NIC, non-volatile memory, GPU, SGX, HPC, computing architecture;
(4) Machine learning: it's a plus to know machine learning in general;
