NYU ECE Prof Hiring PhD Students in Security and Privacy

Dr. Danny Y. Huang is an Assistant Professor at New York University. He is affiliated with NYU's Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department, as well as Center for Urban Science and Progress, Center for Cybersecurity, and Center for Data Science.

Dr. Huang is hiring full-time PhD students for the 2021 admissions cycle.

Requirements: (1) Interest in empirical security and privacy, especially in IoT. (2) Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. (3) Prior research experience.

Dr. Huang completed his postdoctoral fellowship with Prof. Nick Feamster at Princeton University. He graduated with a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering at University of California, San Diego (UCSD), where he was advised by Prof. Alex Snoeren and Kirill Levchenko. He spent two summers as a Google intern in Mountain View, CA, where he helped Google tackle abuse issues. He obtained a BA in Computer Science from Williams College, MA, where he also produced a popular Chinese cooking TV show. He currently lives in New Jersey. He's an avid hiker.
