Your profile looks good and may fits quite well with some of our upcoming research projects. I would encourage you to apply for the 2021 PhD openings.
The upcoming projects would be around designing systems for scaling emerging AI workload, for example, GNNs, NLP, DRL or those both of us are interested in. You would need to write a 2-page research proposal in your application. The proposal needs to explain what is the research problem you would like to address, why prior arts fail to work and your novel ideas and the estimated benefits. It does not need to convey technical details.
