A funded PhD student position is available in Department of Petroleum Engineering at Texas Tech University. The research will be focused on numerical modeling of single and multiphase flows in porous media.
Expected starting time:
; Fall 2021.
Preferred qualifications:
; Self-motivated with independent thinking ability;
; Students who have the research experience in modeling single or multiphase flows in any of the following fields will be considered: CO2 sequestration, hydrology, oil and gas recovery, or porous media;
; Familiar with developing numerical algorithms using any one of the numerical methods: diffusive interface method, phase field method, volume of fluid method, level set method, spectral method, or Galerkin method;
; Experience in programming in C++, Fortran, or Python.
; GRE is waived but IELTS (or TOEFL) score is required for admission;
We will provide $29,000/year financial support for four years through research/teaching assistants.
