  • 我本科和研究生的专业算是数学。毕业之后做了一年的DS感觉太闲了,担心自己变成个啥也不会的废物就想跳槽,发现DS不太好找,就转码了。

  • 在现在公司做了四五个月的SDE,感觉不适合我,第一个星期决定跳槽走人。

  • 时间线: 2020/1 - 2020/3 networking DS + MySQL 刷题, 准备DS面试,一月二月面了DS的岗位, 刷了leetcode easy算法题进阶medium进阶hard。



2020/4 算是正式进入了转码刷题的模式 然后上coursera的网课 (coursera.org )的前四门课,准备面试的时候在pramp上面练习



2020/7 收到了现在公司的offer,2020/8入职,2020/8决定跳槽

2020/8现在公司加班比较多, 8月大概只能坚持每天至少一道题,花了大概一两周的时间去上网课什么的学现在公司的东西,学会了之后继续刷题

决定跳槽之后就刷题(每天至少一道题保持手感,有空就一直刷)+内推(这个没花太久,朋友帮忙)+ linkedin reach out recruiter (随便找一天2020/11/3通过了11个好友申请,发了11个简历)



👆找完工作时的刷题记录(能看出来八月之后不怎么努力刷题了,保持手感就行)

1 改简历



  • 初稿: 简历是从地里找了个模版, 按着字体什么的网上套。

  • 粗改: 我之前有一段时间搞networking, 然后聊天的时候会顺便问问人家对我的简历有没有什么建议, 有的话就尽量按照他的建议参考着改; 在地里找内推的时候也会问一下内推我的人有没有修改简历的建议。

  • 细改: 找我的导师 + 一个经验比较长的大牛改的, 来来回回改了很多遍, 各种格式细节他们看的特别细, 所以改完之后就拿去直接投了。 比如linkedin & github 要有http就都有,要没有就都没有之类的

  • Tips: 如果学分绩没有低于3.5就写上去; 如果已经毕业一两年了可以考虑把education 放后面一点; 如果申请码农的职位, 可以把tech skills放在开头; linkedin的个人网址可以自定义; 我的申请邮箱有两个, 一个gmail邮箱是海投+google (因为Google内推需要gmail邮箱),还有一个outlook 邮箱是内推+networking专用邮箱, 这样recruiter通过哪个邮箱联系你, 你就知道是不是内推的了。

  • 如果是转码,简历上没有经验的我上了udemy的网课做项目的那种,然后写上去,虽然很水,但是起码关键字都在简历上面了。

  • Ps: linkedin & github也要改好,别忘了。



2 刷题



  • 我目前的总共刷了873道题easy 236, medium 444, hard 193, submission 6973, 其中algorithms有795道。 找到第一份sde工作的时候大概高频400刷了3遍, python第一遍, python复习第二遍, 自学cpp第三遍。本来没想刷这么多的, 但是因为从二月还是三月开始做每日一题, 就题量看着越来越高, 之前有一阵还会做做contest, 零零总总加起来居然快八百道题了。 一开始还是想继续找data scientist的工作, 所以刷了MySQL.





  • 算法这些我一开始是边刷边学的, 后来刷了300+之后上了coursera的网课, 一套大概五六节, 我上了前面的四节, 把data structures 和各种算法系统的学了一遍, 感觉基础更扎实。 其实我觉得如果没有基础的话, 可以先系统的学一遍算法再去刷题, 反正刷来刷去都是那些套路。

  • 我会坚持每天刷题,刚开始刷的速度肯定比较慢, 后来刷到三四百道题之后, 速度就上去了, 一个小时可以刷七八道题了, 不过这个时候刷题也是为了保持我的手速, 并不是为了学习了, 反正套路就那些, 刷到后面题目基本都可以秒了。

  • 我刷题是先刷easy, 刷了一段时间感觉easy可以秒了就刷medium。 然后在刷一段medium, 也可以秒了之后就上hard.

  • 怎么坚持下来? 我疫情在家时间太充足了, 不知道该干啥就上网课刷题,我特别喜欢刷题,做出来很开心,做不出来看到大神都解法也很开心。如果有队友的话,也会在群里打打卡。我一般是听着音乐刷题,感觉听嗨了心情很好,刷题更快了。

  • oa/phone/onsite之前我有时候会看看面经, 亚麻oa之前我把它们家oa题库刷完了,但是我发现我是社招,刷的是校招的题库,根本没用。后来也会看面经,但是基本上翻一下最近几个面经,感受一下难度就可以了,反正已经刷了那么多题了,面试也考不出来个花来。我目前的面试中原题好像就亚麻考了一个排序算是原题,别的就算刷到原题我估计也没意识到,不过没有特别奇葩的题。



3 系统设计&OOD (我这种菜鸟级选手的速成入门,大神不用看)



  • 系统设计YouTube上面有几个博主讲的也不错,也会拿来听一下,有比较系统的那种,地里有人推荐过,我也会听。

  • 因为系统设计我是差不多两周速成的,所以为了加深记忆,我会在做饭的时候带着airpods听网课,就耳朵闲下来的时候,我就让那个网课那么放着,感觉这么下来这个网课也断断续续听了两三遍。

  • Ps: 其实我只有四五个月的sde经验,但是不知道为啥, uber & google & wepay都要考我系统设计, amazon & wepay都要考我ood, uber第一个要考,onsite我往后拖了两周,只能速成一下了。不过google后来给我换了一个recruiter之后,不用考系统设计&ood了。 Uber system design考的差不多也是怎么设计uber, 准备过所以还可以。



4 投简历



  • 有内推的话, 找内推。

  • 不管有没有内推, 如果是我的target company我会从linkedin上面找他们家的recruiter。我这一波跳槽下来大概加了得有几百个recruiter, 挺管用的。

  • Google: 朋友内推, 然后同时去linkedin找recruiter, 很快找到了我第一个recruiter, 帮我跳过了店面,因为我当时非常想跑, 不想在简历这一关墨迹太久,找到recruiter就可以迅速进入流程。虽然第二周的时候帮我换了一个general sde的岗位recruiter也换了, 总体来说非常快。

  • Amazon: 朋友内推,但是我在他们家系统里躺了好久,后来直接找recruiter, 然后找到了一个recruiter,我把简历发给她, 她说你去投这三个职位中的一个,我帮你,就顺利进入了亚麻的流程。

  • Apple: 朋友内推,但是我实际面试的岗位并不是内推的岗位,也是找的recruiter。我找到很多recruiter,有一个sourcer把我的简历发给了不同的recruiter,然后我在那一周接到了两个组的电话,一个硬件组, 一个软件组,不过软件组没看上我, 而当时已经过了硬件组的店面,所以直接安排了硬件组的onsite。

  • Microsoft: 朋友内推(我有个神仙朋友,她找朋友帮我内推了一堆). 而且我把简历扔到了ghc database里面, 就会有不同公司的发邮件, 其中包括msft, 不过这个recruiter看不上我的工作经验, 她说少于两年不行, 明年再说。我自己找了一堆MSFT 他们家的recruiter + manager, 但是都说要两年以上的工作经验才行, 我就放弃了这家。没想到在我已经签了狗家之后, MSFT又有一个recruiter发邮件给我问我要不要聊一聊, 是看到了内推找的我。

  • OCI: 我有个朋友签了他家, 可惜我找了很多他们的recruiter, 但是没人理我,😭不得不放弃了他们家。他家在2020年下半年有一波扩招, 刚开始的时候bar比较低, 后面越来越高, 我有一次跟他们家的人聊天的时候,说现在每个manager手里都有很多candidates,所以要求水涨船高。

  • Facebook: fb本来是我的target company, 朋友介绍了他们家的recruiter给我, 可惜他们2020只要senior, 要求五年经验起步,无奈放弃了他们家。

  • Uber: 我2020年七月的时候和uber的一个recruiter聊过,当时他说我不够两年经验,不行。后面跳槽的时候,我又加了一堆他们家的recruiter,其中有一个人直接说把简历发给他,当天就约了recruiter电话, 紧接着就约了phone interview, 因为准备系统设计,店面过了之后我把onsite留了两周学系统设计去了,总体流程非常快。

  • Qualcomm:也不知道他们家做硬件的看上我啥了, 店面考了我一堆逻辑电路什么的,妥妥的挂了。我很久之前投过他们家,没想到过了好几个月居然把我从里面捞出来了,神奇。

  • 小公司: 我加了一个微信群, 里面大家问哪家公司, 说明这家公司最近再招人,我就去投一下,这样拿到了wepay的面试。

  • 例如ghc, alfo tech这种可以把简历扔到他们的database中,会有recruiter主动来找你。

  • 和recruiter搞好关系还是很有用的。 Google recruiter帮我跳了店面,也是沾了内推的光。Amazon recruiter再通知我onsite过了之后不能告诉我feedback, 后来我和我的sourcer聊了一下,她说feedback很好,她处理过400+ candidates, 其中一百多个过了onsite, 里面只有两个拿到了强推,我是第二个。而且在一开始进入亚麻的面试流程也是她帮忙。wepay recruiter通知onsite过了, 只告诉你feedback不错,但是不说细节,但是因为我很好奇,我就多跟她聊了一会,聊半个多小时她总会告诉你些什么的。

  • 加多少个recruiter? 如果是google这种按公司招的,找到一个愿意理你的recruiter就停;如果是apple这种按组招的,我就不停的加。基本上发出去的好友要求每天都会超过上限,但是没关系,过几个小时你就又可以加了。加人这种复制粘贴的活儿,你可以在你耳朵和嘴巴被占用的时候多线程操作,所以虽然看上去加很多需要很多时间,但是实际上并不会占用我刷题的时间。

5 谈工资



  • 这个我也没啥经验,我一般是谈谁家,就找谁家的朋友帮我参谋一下,我是真的不太会谈工资的。

  • 可以问问recruiter你的面试表现什么的, 还可以从hiring manger的态度看出来他是不是很想要你,方便你要价钱。亚麻面完第二天中午打电话说过了,当天hiring manager说可以约一个电话介绍一下他们组(面试有一轮是hiring manager面的我),因为手里有狗家,还安排了一个之前在狗家工作过的人再来跟我聊一下,感觉非常有诚意,组感觉也不错,组长感觉也不是特别push, 他说会给我时间学,知道我需要guidance会帮我,等我觉得可以了再正式出活。wepay recruiter也是一波输出他们家的文化什么的非常好,就可以从聊天的细节看出来他是否希望你去这家公司,而且聊天可以听出来语气,在邮件里不方便问的可以电话解决。

  • 关键还是手里offer要多,不然疫情期间low ball也没办法。



6 behavior questions



  • 亚麻的那些地里有很多,照着准备一遍,你就天下无敌了。

  • 亚麻的每一条你想两三个例子,每家公司都准备好为什么选择他们家的理由,为什么跳槽的理由,就差不多了,然后不太会的就从youtube上面搜视频,看人家举例子,然后在想。不要想着偷懒,如果挂在behavior questions上面就太可惜了。

  • 全部写下来,我把例子都写到了一个word文档里面,然后会有高亮的关键词方便搜索,这么写下来大概写了19页。 就一个建议,不要偷懒不要偷懒不要偷懒!

  • 面试之前我会看一下他们家ceo的演讲,还有公司文化什么的,方便吹他们家。如果不知道这么吹,可以从glassdoor上面搜一搜好评,也可以从他们家自己的网上找找。



7 mock interview



  • 推荐pramp,我之前练面试的时候,每天在这上面做一个mock interview,一个月下来你面试就没问题了,面试的那些流程就刻在脑子里了

  • 我当时准备面试的时候,认识了一个朋友也在准备面试,我俩周末会给对方准备最近的面经题然后互相mock, 结束之前聊聊建议,唠唠嗑,一次大概三个小时多。

2020/11/5 换了一个general sde, 也就换成了第二个recruiter, 和第二个recruiter电话聊, 因为front end 也要求一轮javascript,我在店面过了之后就跟第一个recruiter说我想换general sde, 所以中间耽误了点时间。

2020/12/9 过了他们家hc, 给了level2



  • Uber

2020/10/21 linkedin reach out, 当天发了邮件,约了电话让我投某个岗位

2020/10/29 店面过了,我有时候会在面试结束之前旁敲侧击一下我的面试表现,然后她夸了一下,我就知道过了。

2020/11/4 和recruiter又聊了一下,这是个full stack的岗位, onsite要考系统设计,某一轮还会要求用javascript写,我不擅长用javascript刷题,我就直接问他有没有back end openings或者可不可以不考我javascript, 然后他去帮我问了一下,把javascript这一轮换成了普通的coding。然后系统设计我说我需要两周准备,他说可以。

2020/11/20 onsite,一轮系统设计,两轮coding,最后bq是两个印度manager面我。感觉最后的bq聊天的时候他们应该感觉到我是确实没啥经验了,当时感觉要凉凉,结果果然凉凉了。

2020/9/24 oa完成, 两道题, 第二题有4 cases过不去

2020/9/28 收到店面邀请

2020/10/9 第一轮店面完成,做完第一道题还有四十分钟,面试官问我要不要再做一个还有时间,然后又做了一个, 第二个题没有写代码,最后问了一个bq

2020/10/16 recruiter说店面过了,但是因为openings没了,进了waiting list (这期间我自己联系了别的manager,但是那个时候我从waiting list刚出来,这个manager和我的recruiter聊了一下之后,我依然在我现在recruiter的组里面试)

2020/12/10 onsite三轮,不得不说,亚麻onsite三轮之间给你休息时间, 因为我那段时间一直在咳嗽,中间需要喝热水什么的,我就问了recruiter可不可以加上5min break,recruiter说你想休息就直接和面试官说就行。第一轮和第二轮之间我休息了三分钟,第二轮提前十几二十分钟结束了,继续休息,第三轮是hiring manager面, 满满当当一个小时

2020/12/11 recruiter直接打电话说过了,我说我手里有狗家,然后她去申请包裹。



  • Apple: 硬件组的硬件岗位,没啥参考价值不说了



9 tips



  • 大公司收简历真的收很多,msft recruiter说每个岗位都有500+的人投递。自己找recruiter,主动一点可以让你的流程更快。

  • 安排onsite面试我大概是一周面一个或者两个onsite,apple硬件组我觉得不太合适就当去聊天了。我自己的安排是 11/20 uber onsite, 11/23 google onsite(感恩节那周), 12/3 apple onsite, 12/7 wepay onsite, 12/10 amazon onsite. Google 流程慢建议放到前面一点, amazon出结果快可以靠后一点。在面试前就问好什么时候可以出结果,然后还可以用其他offer催结果。

  • 面试结果, 目前的面试中没有遇到不会做的题,基本上都是看了题顶多两分钟就出思路,目前没有挂在过算法题上。面试都一个套路,你可以把steps边说边敲下来,这样看起来比较清晰,而且后面写代码的时候,面试官也知道你在干嘛。推荐一个jamboard, 然后家里备一块白板。

  • email tracker, 在chrome浏览器里面装上这个, 然后用gmail发邮件的时候就可以看到对方有没有已读,特别适合跟recruiter沟通用这个。我有一次和recruiter邮件,发现她虽然没回复我,但是这个邮件她看了九次。

  • coding styles? 尽量让你的function更通用,和面试官商量着来,然后变量起名字要可以看得懂,可以从网上搜一下coding style之类的看一下怎么写比较标准

  • 想要了解一个公司?linkedin networking找人聊天,有朋友直接问朋友。

  • 一个recruiter说你经验太少没关系,如果你问了十个recruiter,都这么说,那才需要放弃。

  • Reach out成功率?就算你成功率再低,你加一百个人也不至于一个人也不理你。

  • 需不需要很努力? 我是个绝不熬夜学习的人,之前工作的时候比较闲,加上疫情期间节省了交通时间更闲,所以之前是每天学习到晚上八点左右,之后就看剧看小说啥的。现在工作比较忙,就学习到11点左右,后面感觉准备的差不多了就到八点左右,然后看剧看小说。我觉得我应该算不上个努力的人。我记得之前在leetcode看到一个帖子,有个人在职跳槽,然后9-5上班,6pm - 1am自学,我当时内心太震惊了,居然有人这么努力了两个月,而且目测是个美国人,我一天都不行,我每天必须留出几个小时玩,不然不开心。

  • 学习方法?我准备的时候会给自己每天定小于等于三个小目标,只要完成了就去玩。定第二天目标的时候,如果发现自己完成任务很早就多定一点,不然就少一点。我个人非常看中效率,学习到几点我觉得不太重要,干完今天的事情就可以了。//我有个大神学弟,他的方法也挺震惊我的,暑假的时候他每天睁眼的时间中只有三个小时在做学习之外的事情,包括吃饭在路上这些时间总共不能超过三个小时,剩下时间都在学习,震惊。

  • 七月份的时候我和朋友mock interview,他觉得我刷题太多了,不用再刷了,所以我后面刷题就保持手感就好,前面刷题比较多一点。

  • 朋友们真的帮了很多,内推+面试准备+各种公司的介绍+要投哪些公司+鼓励!我这次找工作这么顺利,他们至少帮我助攻了30%

  • A little bit about me: I have a well-rounded background that spans software engineering, data science, statistics and finance. Currently I am a software engineer with XXXX, where I designed and implemented the marketplace app with RESTful APIs and React. Previously, I spent one year as a data scientist building bespoken machine learning models and developing processes to improve productivity. I am experienced with C++, Python, JavaScript, and MySQL, but am a quick learner and always willing to study and learn more. One example of this in action is that I passed the CFA Level 3 exam after self-studying and passed FRM exams while a data scientist. I am excited to continually grow and build things!
