People who develop many different skills are more successful than people who focus on one skill only. When college students come to their workplace, skill is quiet essential to be successful, then even though people have an outstanding skill at specific area is quiet desirable, I still agree that people who gather different skills are more likely to be successful. First of all, since few things could be coped with on one's own, most of issue are addressed by team. Then, given one is proficient at the problem and know how to resolve it, but for the sake of being poor at communication, no one could understand what suggestion you proposed, as a consequence, although he is forcus on one skill only and finally be skilled at certain issue, obviously, he still cannot be successful. Moreover, one will be less competative if he change his work by chance. Even if one could be capable at his present work, no one knows whether he will change a job, be it bankrupcy, losing interest, low payment, etc. What could happen when he was force to change his job? He will, undoubtedly, become a failure. For the sake of focusing on one skill only, he could not address problems aside from his previous field. On the contrary, poeple with different skills will not end up with such embarrassing situation. Finally, only focusing on one skill could affects the social relationship. How people only have one skill could wish that he can chat with people engaged in other field? Since he is just familiar with one certain field, and know quiet few of others, when they sit down and begain to chat, the could hardly find some topic in common. Consequently, he will lose a chance to make friends that is also essential to be successful. On the basis of the above discussion, we can safely conclude that people who develop many different skills are indeed easier to be successful.
