求解关于推荐人信息的问题

网申推荐人信息的时候有个waive access需要点选。这是什么意思啊？？
PS：上面还有一段说明文字In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, you can waive your right to inspect your recommendations by signing the statement below. Should you decide not to waive the right, you will have access to the recommendations only if you enroll in the Graduate School.
是问你要不要放弃看推荐信的权利？这到底要不要选呢？求解。。。。。
