申Master套磁，看了这个回复，就彻底绝望了

之前一直有人说Master也可以去套磁，抱着试试看的心里，lz套了一个UCI的大牛，背景还算match，然后，就绝望了。。。
教授的回复给大家看看：
I am afraid that you misunderstand. Masters students are not affiliated with professors - they take courses like undergraduates.
I only work with PhD students. You can enroll in my courses, of course, but as a MS student, you are not working with a professor typically. MS admission is done by a committee without any individual professor input.
中介建议是接着套，就说说“我的master是 step to PHD program，我也可以直接申请PHD，if he could provide a position in his research lab or team”。大家怎么看？
