NEWLY LAUNCHED PROFESSIONAL MASTER'S PROGRAM IN COMPUTER SCIENCES
Department of Computer Sciences
University of Wisconsin, Madison
cs.wisc.edu
Application deadline: March 15, 2014 for enrollment in Fall 2014

If you are a working professional in the U.S. or abroad who wants to
pursue an M.S. degree in computer sciences at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison, the new Professional Master's Program (PMP) is for
you. The program has begun accepting applications in Fall 2013 for
Fall 2014 enrollment. The application deadline is March 15,
2014. Accepted students will begin the program in Fall 2014 on the
beautiful UW-Madison campus. A student taking two courses per semester
can finish the PMP within two years. The program is designed such that
two courses per semester constitutes a manageable workload for a
working professional who attends the PMP part time. (Of course, both
international and domestic students are welcome to attend the PMP full
time.)

The Department of Computer Sciences is a top-ranked department in the
U.S., and Madison is a lovely city situated among four lakes, with
recreational opportunities abound. In recent years, numerous high-tech
companies and startups have set up shop in Madison (recent additions
include research and development labs from Google, Microsoft, Redhat,
and Walmart). An important measure of an academic program is the
success of its graduates. Our M.S. graduates in particular are highly
sought after. They have interned at many high-tech companies such as
Google, Apple, Facebook, and Microsoft, and many of them have received
job offers even after the first year of studies. The department
maintains numerous close research, development, and alumni connections
with Silicon Valley, the heart of the IT industry in the U.S., and
students will have many opportunities to learn from and be involved in
these connections.

We believe the learning environment in the department is second to
none, making this an unbeatable choice for continuing your education.
