Dr. Peng Gao's research group in the Department of Computer Science at Virginia Tech has multiple Ph.D. (fully funded) and research internship openings. Research directions include, but are not limited to, security, privacy, systems, AI, and their intersections.

Students with a strong math, algorithmic, or programming background are encouraged to apply. Having experience in building large software systems or knowledge of security/ML/NLP is a plus.

For more information, please visit people.cs.vt.edu If interested, please contact Dr. Gao at 1point3acres.com and attach your CV and transcript.

(Note: research internships can also be done remotely, as long as the student has enough time, e.g., full-time-equivalent 3-months, and treats research as an important commitment. Students who worked with us previously have been recommended to top EECS M.S./Ph.D. programs at UC Berkeley, Princeton, GaTech, etc.)
