Dr. Kai Pan, Assistant Professor in the Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies at the Faculty of Business of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), is looking for a highly motivated Ph.D. student starting in Fall 2022. Research Assistant / Research Associate / Postdoctoral Fellow applicants are also invited to start immediately (check polyu.edu.hk). The successful candidates are expected to conduct cutting-edge research on data-driven optimization and decision-making under uncertainty with potential applications in smart city operations, energy market, supply chain, and transportation. Candidates with Industrial Engineering, Math, EE, CS, or other relevant backgrounds will be considered, and an earned Master's degree is preferred. Strong mathematical background and programming skills will be a plus. Previous research experience in the related areas will also be a plus.
