上海梅陇镇-bioinfo ms首签过-gap一年。。

gap一年终于熬到办签证了。回馈地里写一下面经。问得不少，整个过程七八分钟。

ME: bioinfo/biomedical informatics
VO: Who's your sponsor？
ME: My parents or my mom specifically.
VO: Any other sponsorships?
ME: No.
VO: Resume and study plan plz.
ME: ..(乖巧递)
VO: CV of your advisor?
ME: Actually the program is course-based, but I do have a CV of one of my professors...(乖巧递+1, 之前挑了最偏physician的faculty的LinkedIn profile打印的)
VO: What's your plan after school?
ME: Find a job at the consulting firm...(也选了最人畜无害的职业，看起来就是要回国的？ 但是VO似乎没care我回不回国。)
VO: Any internships before?
ME: Not exactly, I basically studied some online courses during my gap year.
VO: (开始看Resume) So... you major in xxx during undergrad, why you choose xxx as master now?
ME: (解释为什么换专业；因为很有意思很有用。)
VO: (回过头又问) What kind of consulting are you looking for?
ME: Consulting at healthcare, like.. you know, there's a lot of MNC opportunities, they are hiring students from China and abroad. (或许此时回国意向已经明显了。不过我在studyplan里也写了毕业计划回国，因为独生得孝敬父母。)
VO: Okay... Then what kind of research you are going to do during your master?
ME: The program is course-based (我咋又说一遍)，but we do have a capstone project... I haven't decided yet, but might join a lab to do some work involve around Electronic Health Record, for the hospitals. (没错，EHR就是本专业最人畜无害的方向，用new tech救人啊xdjmm)
VO: Electronic WHAT? (Oooops...可能这词是个坑？)
ME: Electronic Health Record, you know... for the patients... When you go to the hospital, they will collect your information as a patient. We are providing some insights for the doctors. (呼.. 能有比这个更天使的方向了吗)
VO: ...okay (记得带上I20过境。)
给蓝条。
基本上就是这样。除了护照以外所有文件都还给我了。

TIPS: 不管F还是J，study plan和Resume一定要准备啊。我出门看到另一个J1小姐姐要补材料，就是因为没带这俩。基本上在场F1都问了这两项。
