申请UCR的EE的MS，收到一封要求联系教授的邮件，求助各位大神

原邮件如下：
XXX, it is important that all prospective graduate students contact faculty members with interests similar to their own early in the application process. If you have not already reached out to faculty members sharing your interests, please begin doing so as soon as possible. Please review our faculty listing for more information on Electrical Engineering faculty members.
Graduate students are admitted without preference for their advisers or field. It is still important to begin reviewing the UCR Faculty and their research associated with your area/s of interest.
这应该是意味着需要我联系教授吧，已经submit了2周后，系办公室给我发了一封这样的邮件
之前没有套过磁，这种是属于什么样的套磁呢，是找一个心仪的教授介绍下自己，请他recommend到review commitee来审查吗?感觉小米的意思是没有adviser就不会审核啊，之前以为ms项目不怎么需要套磁的
还有，请问fellow这样的大牛是不是一般不招MS的，找了一下faculty member有一个华裔fellow感觉和我的兴趣很match啊，但是又觉得人家这样的大神可能不需要一个master，楼主本人又比较水
主要是没理解这个邮件到底是怎么要求我去做什么，可以同时多联系几个自己想要的教授么，邮件又说录取与教授喜欢优先权无关。这封是不是意味着必须先有教授要我，才能申这个学校的MS...T.T材料申请神马都在2周前submit了
