So you have to come as a teaching assistant, take my class in the first semester and impress me. That is the way it works. I have 15 PhD students and to become one of my students is a fairly tough competition.

Thank you for your interest in our program. At this time we do not have any openings for new starts. As a point of information, individual professors cannot determine admissions, only the Mechanical Engineering Graduate Committee determines admissions. This is done in March of each year for the following academic year (August starts). So the time to apply is from about December to February. Occasionally applications are considered in the Fall for January starts but this is not the usual case. See the web site xxx.htm for detailed information. I wish you all the best in finding a suitable academic setting for continuing your studies.
