导师孙岳霆本科博士均毕业于清华大学汽车学院，后于牛津大学进行博士后研究，目前于伯明翰大学担任讲师/助理教授。

The group of Dr Sun is seeking motivated PhD students with a background in material science, chemistry, physics, engineering, or in a closely related field. Candidates with interests in one or more of the following areas are particularly encouraged to apply:
; Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and other nanoporous materials
; Dynamic mechanics of materials and energy absorption (impact, vibration, blast)
; Energy conversion and thermodynamics
; Nanofluidics
; Mechanochemistry
; Polymer chemistry and hydrogel system
Recent research topics of the group are around the energy absorption of the nanofluidic process in highly porous MOF materials. Example publication: Sun et al. High rate nanofluidic energy absorption in porous zeolitic frameworks, Nature Materials 20, 1015-1023 (2021). Dr Yueting Sun received his Bachelor in Automotive Engineering and Bachelor in Economics from Tsinghua University in 2010, followed by a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2015. He visited the University of California, San Diego from 2013 to 2014, and held the KC Wong Fellowship at the University of Oxford from 2016 to 2018. He moved from Oxford to Birmingham in Dec 2019 and became a Lecturer in Engineering. More details of Dr Sun can be found at Birmingham Staff Profile or Linkedin.
