Dr. Xiaowen Gong in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Auburn University is seeking self-motivated PhD students to work on machine learning and AI in wireless networks, starting in Spring or Fall 2023. The students will be provided with full financial support.

Dr. Gong’s research topics are in wireless networks and their applications, with current focuses on machine learning and AI in wireless networks, edge computing, and network security. He has published more than 50 papers in top journals and conferences, including ToN, JSAC, TMC, TSP, TWC, INFOCOM, MobiHoc, WiOpt. He has also served as editors and TPC members in these top venues. His research has been supported by grants from NSF, MxD. As of Spring 2023, there are still PhD positions for Fall 2023 and Spring 2024. Dr. Gong's research has been recognized by IEEE INFOCOM Best Paper Runner-Up Award, IEEE IoT Journal Runner-Up Best Paper Award, NSF CAREER Award.
