Since this is a very competitive application process that receives thousands of applicants each year, only a small percentage of the applicants will be admitted.[/backcolor][backcolor=rgb(255, 255, 240)]At this stage of the review process, you are required to provide documents showing your ability to support yourself financially if admitted.[/backcolor][backcolor=rgb(255, 255, 240)]You are required to show proof of financial support in the amount of $47,657 for the nine-month academic year beginning mid-September 2014. This includes tuition and fees for three quarters ($30,657) and living expenses of $17,000. This number could be higher if you are being accompanied by family members.[/backcolor][backcolor=rgb(255, 255, 240)]The proof required is a letter on bank letterhead stating that, as a customer of that bank, you have at least $47,657 to support yourself while studying at UC Irvine. Please note that the amount must be listed in US dollars.[/backcolor][backcolor=rgb(255, 255, 240)]If your education will be supported by someone other than yourself, you will also need a letter from your sponsor(s) stating that they are willing to support you along with a letter from their banking institution verifying that they have the funds available (in US dollars).[/backcolor][backcolor=rgb(255, 255, 240)]The financial verification documents you submit for this purpose should be recent, and must be valid for at least 6 months from the day they are received.[/backcolor][backcolor=rgb(255, 255, 240)]Please email your scanned documents to the Graduate Student Admissions Coordinator. at eecsgrad@uci.edu at your earliest convenience.
