One Graduate Assistant Position is available in Department of Chemical Engineering, College of Engineering and Computing, at the University of South Carolina. We are looking for one self-motivated PhD student dedicated to the cutting-edge research in catalyst materials and electrochemical reaction engineering. The lab focuses on study and development of advanced materials useful as catalysts for energy-related processes, including fuel cell reactions, water electrolysis, and hydrogen storage. The candidate will be trained based on his/her own research interests and multi-disciplinarily in electrochemical reaction engineering, materials chemistry, and catalysis science.

The University of South Carolina is a public, R1 research university in Columbia, South Carolina, United States. It is the flagship of the University of South Carolina System and has a strong PhD program in Chemical Engineering. The candidate will be given full financial supports plus tuition waiver and health benefits during the time of graduate study. Starting date: Fall 2023

Basic requirements:
Master or Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or other related majors;
Strong interests and high motivation in catalysis and electrochemical reaction engineering research;
Good GPA;
Satisfactory score on an English proficiency test: TOEFL (≥80), or IELTS (≥6.5), or PTE (≥53);
Priority will be given to candidates familiar with catalysis and/or having demonstrated research experience.
