A nation should require all of its students to study the same national curriculum until they enter college.

describe specific circumstances in which adopting the recommendation would or would not be advantageous.
----

Concerning the necessity of requiring all students receive same curriculum before entering colleges, the statement asserts that it should be a well-established and universal rule across the country. While we live in the modern civilization which advocates diversity among people, however, it is very essential for students to accept generic/uniform education before universities.

To begin with, the same national courses before colleges, unlike education in universities which is divided in certain distinctive parts, provides students a chance to build up basis for further study. Think of a student who is regarded as a genius in literature when he is still a junior school student, and he is determined to commit all his efforts to practice his writing skills and spend mountains of/ copious time in libraries poring over all kinds of books that may serve as the provenance of the inspirations for writing novels. As a result, he may give up receiving further education in any educational institutions which is seemingly unnecessary for him. However, without the education that is able to help students master the ability of analytical thinking and reasoning as well as being skeptic to tenuous arguments, no matter how talented this student may be in literature/ expressing feelings in a moving way, he absolutely cannot figure out how to express ideas with sound reasoning or finish great works structured well.

In addition, not only can general education afford students the chance to gain the ability of critical thinking and persuasive writing, but also makes all aspects of knowledge more accessible to students, and thus broaden their horizons, enrich their thinking as well as building up world outlooks without the defect of being narrow-minded. For the same student I mentioned before, he makes every effort to hone his writing skills and be absorbed in reading, however, he is very likely to fall in the pitfall of limiting himself in a secure niche, which is detrimental in many aspects. Consequently, he abandon the opportunity of knowing about the world in a way with more subtle details than written documentation, by listening to lectures given by experienced teachers and attending courses taught by veteran professors in certain fields, in other words, he refuses to be an well-informed writer who is always willing to showcase the beauty of the life that he experiences. But nobody would enjoy reading insipid books written by a callow writer that restricts himself in the web sewed by himself.

To sum up, living in an era which is wanting of individuality and diversity, people are expected to differ themselves from others. However, while we cannot deny the significance of individuality, the general education before colleges serves as the basis for students to study further is of great importance, for its capacity of developing students' ability of analytical thinking and enriching their knowledge of extensive aspects.
